Synopsis
You met Kenna and Sloan in Indulging in Irelyn and Being
Zolt
. Now, read their story.
I knew from the first moment I saw her, Kenna Campbell would be
my undoing. I’ve done my best to stay away from her, but I fail at every turn.
Now, she’s been taken from me, and I’ll stop at nothing to get her back.
Irish born, Sloan Sullivan is a man with a past he can’t escape.
Everything about him, from his identify to his profession, is a lie.
Until he met Kenna, he didn’t think twice about his fraudulent
life. Now, his past is threatening his future and preventing him from saving
the woman he loves.
I’ve loved Sloan from the moment I saw him. Though he pushes me
away at every turn, I never leave.
Kenna Campbell fell in love with Sloan Sullivan when she was sixteen.
Throughout the years, she’s stayed true to him even when it hurt her to do so.
In a
heartbreaking turn of events, Kenna falls prey to
Marcus Xavier’s evil game. Though she’s
physically survived the brutality she suffered at the hands of two men, her
emotional and mental scars refuse to heal, and she wonders if she’s broken
beyond repair.
Is love enough to keep these two together, or will the monsters
from both their pasts destroy them forever?

Review
How much do you love? How far are you willing to go for love? Kenna is in love with Sloan and Sloan is in love with Kenna but there are things that can’t be said and there are things that keep them apart ..is Kenna’s love for Sloan strong enough to love Sloan? Can Sloan change things and be what Kenna needs? Read this story and find out
This book is hands down one of the best books I have read. It had a little bit of paranormal in It which to me made the story even better. Having read the first two indulging series book I loved following along the stories of all the characters from before. But don’t let that deter you from reading this story. Saving Kenna can be read as a stand alone book!!. What are you waiting for.. go and get this book!!!

Dawna Raver didn’t always want to be a writer, but the voices
in her head keep sending her stories, ranging from new adult, romantic fantasy
and contemporary romance.

When she’s not spending time in her fantasy

“Who we were had washed away with the summer. Who we are was yet to be seen.”
Summer school at Alcott High was only supposed to gain Sadie Peters extra credit, nothing more. Her goal wasn't to make friends, or gain the attention of the most popular football player, yet she managed both. Her life was cruising along on course ... until that summer.
Could a simple stint in a different school change her identity completely and introduce her to love for the first time? How would that affect her relationship with Lily, her best friend?
Hopefully their friendship was strong enough to make it through the tumultuous summer. Sadie learns that great things come with change, but sometimes memories of the past are hardest to part with.

*I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are strictly my own *

My Review: I loved reading Who we were. I went through the awkward teenage stage, where I felt I didn’t fit in with the popular kids at school. This book brought back those memories of wanting to reinvent myself and be part of the popular in crowd. I could also understand how Sadie felt losing her best friend. At that age everything seems more traumatic than it really is.

Christy has a great way of describing the scenery and the emotions of the high school kids. I could easily picture what was going on and like I said it kind of reminded me of things I went through as a teenager. I loved seeing Sadie fall in love and learn the difference between love and lust or infatuation. I would easily recommend this book to my girls who are teenagers now and going through those awkward teenage years. I can’t wait to read more of Christy Sloat’s books
